Autumn Recipes: Pumpkin Muffins

You can make all kinds of delicious things with pumpkin, but did you know that you could bake with this autumn vegetable? If you don't have a vegetable garden to grow them in, the local grocery shops or a local amateur gardener should have them in store!

In the search of a suitable and original recipe I found this recipe that I would like to share with you. In this recipe, refined sugar is substituted with cinnamon and maple syrup, it even is gluten free according to Allerhande! This recipe with roasted pumpkin, pecans, ginger and cinnamon smells wonderful when taken out of the oven (180°C). For the finishing touch you could even bake these in these cute Halloween baking cups! Another simple decorating tip: decorate your muffins (when cooled down) with orange fondant, or coat them with orange icing, and a little green stalk.
