Chocolate Cake

The best way of heating your house is by putting a cake in the oven right? And what's more suitable than a fluffy, tender-moist chocolate cake for warming you right up. You can make a delicious chocolate cake from scratch, but if you don't have the time, or the right ingredients in stock, we have a solution for you. With this bakingmix, you will only need to add eggs and some water.

Tip: For an extra touch of autumn you could add some extra spices, like a tablespoon of cinnamon, half a teaspoon espressopowder, a little dash of clovepowder, a little splash of gingerbread spices, or half a teaspoon of vanilla extract! And don't forget the chocolate callets for some extra texture in your cake!

And whilst you wait for the cake to cool (it's always too long), you could make the chocolate glaze that will really be the finishing touch! You could make a drip cake, or a ganache that you'll have to spread evenly around the cake. The Squires Kitchen Icing Sugar is perfect for these uses, not only is the icing sugar free of cornstarch, lactose and gluten, it's also suitable for vegetarians!

Ellen's team wishes you a 'hele fijne dag'!
